💖 THIS TV SHOW STARTED WITH A DREAM...

LONG BEFORE HOLLYWOOD 🎬

When I was in high school, we had a career dress up day 🤪

I remember like it was yesterday....

I was this little country farm girl—chickenpox-scarred face, definitely-not-fashionable glasses 🤣 walking through the halls pretending to be a television host, interviewing teachers, staff, and students.

And I confidently told everybody:

“One day, I'm going to have my own TV show just like Oprah.”

Gwendolen in high school with a big dream:

“One day I'm going to have my own TV show”

Some people laughed.

And honestly? Looking at my circumstances, I can understand why.

I grew up on food stamps in outhouse-type conditions on a farm, but I was truly blessed. After losing my mother when I was just three months old, I was raised by my amazing maternal grandparents while my father served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

By age eight, I was helping care for our home after my grandmother lost her eyesight, while also chopping wood, feeding animals, and helping with crops.

Nothing about my circumstances looked like television.

But God. 🙏🏽

God began writing a story I never could have written for myself.

He opened the door for a partial college scholarship, led me into a 21-year career in the United States Air Force, and eventually called me to start my first business with my last $100 to help me fulfill my son's birthday wish of going to Disney World.

Walking through the doors God opened

And within six months?

God turned that $100 investment into a $5 MILLION joint venture contract.

That business eventually created opportunities for 187 independent contractors, allowed me to retire early, and contributed to recognition including being named one of San Antonio's Top 8 Women of Influence.

But then God did something I wasn't expecting.

He asked me to let it go. I mean ALL of it!

I had to decide whether I trusted the success God had given me...

or trusted the God who gave me the success.

Obviously, I chose God.

And that act of being fearlessly obedient began leading me somewhere I never expected.

Years later, I launched my first livestream television show, It's OK to Tell My Story, creating a platform for domestic violence survivors, advocates, entrepreneurs, community leaders, news reporters, city officials, website host and others to turn painful stories into purpose.

As a survivor of childhood abandonment, molestation, domestic violence and sexual assault myself, that show taught me something I'll never forget:

God doesn't waste our stories.

But I still didn't realize He was preparing me for something bigger.

🎬 FAST FORWARD TO JULY 2026...

On Set at The McCord List Hollywood Studio

God opened the door for me to travel to California and share my story and message through four Hollywood television interviews.

And somewhere between that high school hallway and that Hollywood set...

God fulfilled the dream of that little country girl. 🥹

I couldn't help thinking:

“Gwen, Gurl...LOOK WHAT GOD DID.” 😭🎬💖

Not because I made it to Hollywood.

Not because I got on television.

But because God is faithful.

He took a little girl whose circumstances didn't match her dreams and walked her through business, success, heartbreak, surrender, healing, obedience, and deeper dependence on Him.

And now He's given me another assignment:

Open the door for other Christian entrepreneurs.

That's why I'm launching Build a Business With God™.

I don't want this television platform to simply tell my story.

I want it to become a place where Christian business owners can share their stories, their businesses, their expertise, their testimonies, and what God is doing through their obedience.

And that's why I'm looking for Founding Sponsors + Founding Product Promoters.

You're not simply helping me launch a television show.

You're helping me build the platform I once dreamed about as a little country girl...and use it to give Christian entrepreneurs like me a bigger microphone. 🎤✝️💖

“Maybe your brand is meant to be part of this story, too.”
